- The main thrust of this course is on the effective design, development, management and use of advancedinformation systems within organisations. It places particular emphasis on the current information systems issues of evolving database systems, geographical information systems, object-oriented technology and hypermedia. The course will be valuable if you are a graduate in computing and wish to specialise in these fast-developing aspects of information systems. If you obtain the MSc and enter industry or commerce, you will be well prepared to contribute to the organisation’s IT activities and strategies into the 21st century. The course will also provide a firm foundation if you wish to study further for a PhD. We hope that full-time studentships will be available from a range of sources, Research Councils and the EU.
