Program Overview

Program Description:
The Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) Master of Arts degree is primarily designed for licensed, practicing teachers who desire to continue developing their professional expertise. The program is also open to students in the Alternative Licensure Program (ALP) or the Teacher Education Licensure Program (TELP) who may use selected coursework as part of their degree plan. Areas of emphasis include: General C&I Emphasis, Gifted & Talented, Linguistically Diverse Education (LDE), Mathematics Education, Reading, Science Education, Counseling & Human Services, Leadership, Research & Foundations, Special Education, and Instructional Technology. A minimum of 30 credit hours of coursework is required for the degree. Some emphasis areas require more hours.
