Program Description:
Based in San Cristobal, Galapagos, students will study the ecology, geology, and evolutionary highlights of the islands, participate in their own research project, and work with students in local schools. Study the flora and fauna of the Galapagos Islands while living and working with the local people. A unique, ecology based program, designed for teachers or those students with a keen interest in the biology of the Galapagos Islands.

Galapagos Marine Ecology was designed for teachers, by teachers and professors, but has been expanded to allow serious students the chance to enjoy the same interactions. For teachers, continuing education credits (3-6 semester hours) and available, and students are offered the chance to take the course for graduate or undergraduate credit from the University of Arizona.
Setting Description:
This is primarily a land-based program, meaning we live on the islands in simple, but adequate, hotels and travel to other destinations in small boats operated by local inhabitants. Our program offers a chance to get to know the local people, see outstanding wildlife, and learn from accomplished professors with first-hand experience in the islands.
