Program Overview

Program Description:
The MBA (Biotechnology) programme is designed specifically for bioscience graduates who wish to enhance their skills in the business world of biotechnology and includes management modules in the areas of marketing, human resources, entrepreneurship, business strategies and accountancy & finance. In addition, topical areas of modern biotechnology are covered (including molecular biology, bioinformatics, and industrial biotechnology) and the course culminates in an MBA dissertation dealing with issues confronting bio-business and commercial biotechnology. The MBA is the recognised qualification that the world's practising and aspiring managers want to acquire as part of their career advancement. The MBA (Biotechnology) is delivered jointly between the Dundee Business School and the School of Contemporary Sciences, and aims to improve management skills for graduates who wish to acquire a theoretical and practical understanding of business and management to prepare them for a successful managerial career in the biotechnology and life sciences sectors.
