Program Overview

Program Description:
The program prepares baccalaureate nurses for Advanced Practice Nursing as Adult Nurse Practitioners (ANP) who are competent to provide care to adults across the health continuum. Students have the opportunity to practice in community based settings as well as hospitals and subspecialty areas in order to prepare them for a broad spectrum of job opportunities in the care of adults. Graduate preparation expands the comprehensiveness of the ANP role to include critical thinking and independent decision making in the areas of research, leadership, education, health policy, and consultation. The ANP Program meets the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) guidelines and prepares graduates to take the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s national certification exam.
