The University at Albany's exchange partnership with the University of Nottingham allows our students to directly enroll into this prestigious British University in the fall or spring semesters, or for an entire academic year. With the choice of coursework from over 400 classes, most students' academic needs can be met here. Culturally speaking, the University of Nottingham is located in a vibrant city in the heart of the UK, with fast access to many of the country's major cities allowing for true immersion and access to British life.

Participants enroll in regular university classes with British students. Students participate for a single semester or the entire academic year. You can select courses from one of the six faculties and 32 schools of study, including programs in American and Canadian studies, art history, classical and archaeological studies, foreign language, philosophy, architecture and planning, economics, management, geography, politics, psychology, mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, and many others. Nottingham advises that all study abroad/exchange students should plan to take classes from a maximum of two Schools/Departments to prevent timetable clashes as UK degrees are focused on one or two subject areas and that they should choose the majority of their modules from the Faculty of Arts.
