Program Overview

Program Description:
Through the University at Albany's partnership with Global Service Corps, students can get a truly unique "service learning" experience for a short period or a full semester in Tanzania. These exciting opportunities can be arranged for credit or not for credit. For students who only want to get hands-on experience through the service learning programs and are not interested in getting academic credits, please apply for the program that you are interested in directly to Global Service Corps.

The University at Albany's Office of International Education can arrange credit in various areas for varying amounts of credit. Primarily this is undergraduate credit but graduate credit may be possible. Arranging graduate credit may require as much as a semester's lead time. Undergraduates who just need general credit can register for a course in the Office of International Education. We will work out a study plan with you and agree on the number of credits. Typically this would be 3 credits for the short term programs but 6 may be possible. Please see our website for more information.
