Program Overview

Program Description:
Originally established in 1880 and renamed the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in 1976, USC offers both undergraduate and graduate studies in the humanities, social and natural sciences, and education. USC is particularly well known for its program in communications. The University is located in San Juan on a compact campus within sight of both the ocean and the city. Most buildings are modern, while others are considered historical monuments. In addition to classroom space, the campus features a well-stocked library, a computing center, a student center, and athletic facilities, including an Olympic pool.

Setting Description:
Students may live in dormitories or make their own arrangements. There is no meal plan for students; however, the common kitchen and cafeteria on campus are available for meals. The dorm is a good option for those who want to be more completely integrated into university life.
