- The Institute of Youth program located in Moscow seeks to involve students personally and actively with the Russian people and their language, history, art, and traditions. The Institute is a State/Private higher educational institute with an academic faculty of 200 scholars and researchers. Its modern, well-equipped buildings include classrooms with televisions and VCRs, and a large library.
In addition to a required intensive Russian language course, which is taught at all levels by lecturers trained at the Pushkin Institute, students earn up to 15 undergraduate credits through the following courses offered at The Institute of Youth: Elementary through Advanced Russian Language, Russia Today, General Survey of Russian History and Lecture Series, Survey of Russian Literature (XIX-XX Centuries), Russian Musical History and Modern Life, Russia Today, and Survey of Russian Cultural History in Excursions.
Costs included: Instructional costs abroad, fees, room and board, trip to St. Petersburg, cultural excursions, letter of invitation to obtain visa, and health insurance.
