THE TRANSART EXPERIENCE: - Summer intensives in Berlin, winter residencies in New York City - Low-residency format allows to keep professional and work obligations while advancing career - Workshops, seminars, professional development, studio and performance tours in every residency - A highly individualized contemporary learning experience without grades - Realizing creative projects with the support of curators, faculty and self-chosen advisors - International make up of students and faculty that fosters exchange across cultural boundaries - Offsite study, critiques and advisement wherever you live and work Transart Institute offers an international low residency two-year graduate art program leading to a Master of Fine Arts in New Media.Students create their own course of study working on art and research projects with faculty and self-chosen artist mentors complemented by three intensive summer residencies with lectures, critiques, seminars, performances, exhibitions, and workshops in Europe.The low-residency format permits students to continue with their professional life while participating in the program.Main goals of the program are: Change and the development of a sustainable artistic praxis.Genres include: Animation, Architecture, Curatorial work, Cyber Art, Film/Video, Game Design, Graphic Design, Installation, Interdisciplinary Art, Performance Art, Photography, and Sound/Music.Up to one year's credits accepted from other postgraduate schools, first degree waiver possible with equivalent experience and portfolio.
