Program Description:
Come explore Japan and see how the culture of the Japanese people affects their modern business climate. You will see real world examples of how old Japanese markets still have an influence on even the largest Japanese corporations.Also, how western culture is beginning to influence the Japanese people. You will get to experience: (subject to change) Nissan's mother plant,Tokyo Stock Exchange,Traditional Japanese Markets,Temples and Shrines,Tsukiji Fish Market, the world's largest wholesale fish market. Traditional Japanese meals and customs, Classroom interaction with Japanese college students,Tokyo nightlife Shibuya, one of the largest shopping districts in the world,Shinjuku Station, the busiest train station in the world,Western themed shopping districts, and many more examples of the Japanese business climate.

BA 498CA (4 undgraduate hours) BA 598CA (4 graduate hours) Minimum program eligibility requirements include the completion of at least 28 semester hours with an overall 2.0 GPA for undergraduates (or consent of the program director). All students must be in clear academic standing. Final authority over enrollment rests with the Director of International Programs and the Business and Culture in Japan Director.
