Program Overview

Program Description:

The Graduate Program of Teton Science Schools is a unique combination of academic theory and practical educator training, all nestled in the southeastern corner of Grand Teton National Park. During the 11.5 month immersive program, students will focus on place-based, field science education and apply teaching skills in the field and in schools. Our practices are guided by a close connection with other Teton Science Schools programs in field education, educator development and independent schools. This residency program is located on the Kelly Campus of Teton Science Schools, which provides an intentional learning community just 18 miles outside of historic Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Over the course of the program at Teton Science Schools, students earn 32 transferable graduate credits through the University of Wyoming, of which 15 are typically accepted at other universities. Skills developed during your year at the Kelly Campus can be applied in a variety of ways, and our faculty and staff are eager to mentor students through the process of exploring potential career avenues.
