- With approval of the school, students electing to pursue the Master of Arts degree may specialize in one of the following fields: composition; ethnomusicology; music history and literature; musicology; piano/voice pedagogy and theory. Master of Music students may specialize in performance, composition, jazz and choral or instrumental conducting.Specializations of the music faculty include:Composition and theory; Conducting; Ethnomusicology; Music history/literature, and musicology; Performance; Piano pedagogy; Voice pedagogy
