The Gerontological CNS works with healthy and frail older adults in a variety of settings, providing nursing leadership and consultation and participating in multidisciplinary clinical programs that emphasize promotion, maintenance, and/or restoration of health and optimal functioning.
The Advanced Public Health Nursing (APHN) program develops skills in assessing, planning and evaluating nursing interventions for individuals, families and aggregates/populations. There is strong emphasis on health promotion, primary prevention, and program management.
