The MA Education offers a range of pathways: Subject specialisms: English language and literacy Mathematics Science Design and Technology Religious Education Special and Inclusive Education Teaching and learning in Higher Education (not in 2008/09) TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Physical Education Management specialism: Education Leadership and Management NB: The MA is not a qualification to teach in the UK. Who is the programme aimed at? The MA Education programme has been designed to provide a range of flexible opportunities for practising professionals working in education. The programme is highly flexible with teaching taking place in evenings and at weekends to fit in with students' employment schedules. General programme information The MA Education is underpinned by a model of critically reflective practice and is designed to offer professionals the opportunity to engage, actively, in the processes of systematic and analytical enquiry into the theories and practices of education, with a view to developing and improving their own practice. The MA Education allows students either to specialise in a particular area of interest or design for themselves a wide programme of study to reflect on the varied but linked aspects of education in today’s and tomorrow’s world.
