Program Description:

Students experience the role of NonGovernmental Organizations (NGOs) in developing countries like Tanzania by learning about government-NGO relationships, and experiencing the challenges and rewards of working beside grass-roots NGOs building a community library. Independent Study in an Engaged Learning Project is strongly encouraged.

Learn the Kiswahili language in Musoma, view the wildebeest migration at the Serengeti National Park, visit Lake Victoria, meet students in Dar es Salaam, tour the spice farms in Zanzibar!
