- This new MSc is designed for graduates with an accounting, economics or finance background who wish to develop their understanding of banking and finance issues. In exceptional circumstances graduates from other disciplines will be considered. The course is particularly aimed at those interested in pursuing a career in retail banking, central banking, investment banking, financial research or financial trading.You take compulsory modules (80 credits), optional modules (40 credits) and write a dissertation on a banking and finance topic (60 credits). Compulsory modules include: financial derivatives; central banking; retail banking; applied time series modelling and forecasting; research methods. Optional modules include: behavioural finance; credit risk modelling; financial theory and corporate policy; international finance and capital markets; international money and banking.
