Requirements:
Applicants of the Teaching a Foreign Language program must demonstrate high proficiency in their language of instruction. If the language of instruction is not the applicant’s native language, a writing sample and comprehensive telephone interview will help us assess your proficiency level. The writing sample should be a 2-3 page document on any topic in your language of instruction. Language faculty will contact applicants by phone or email to arrange the interview. Before your first semester begins, you must pass a placement test (if the language of instruction is one that is offered) that indicates you are ready to begin your studies at the appropriate level. GRE scores are not required. However, applicants who have taken the GRE are encouraged to submit them because they may positively influence merit scholarship awards. Applicants with an undergraduate GPA below 3.0 are strongly encouraged to submit GRE scores for admission consideration. Our institution code: [4507]
International Requirements:
Non-native English speakers must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores. You may waive this requirement if you've attended high school and college/university in the U.S. or UK.
