Program Description:

The Department of Food Science and Agricultural Chemistry offers a Ph.D. and M.Sc., designed to train students in developing fundamental and more applied research capabilities in the field. Food Science is a broad based discipline, accepting students with a FoodScience or related scientific background (i.e. Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry), focusing on the application of basic science principles to the food system to improve the analysis, preservation, and quality of the food supply. The staff have a wide range of expertise, from processing to analytical methodology development, and are acknowledged experts in their fields.
