Good software and hardware design is critical to the success of modern information technology. This course is aimed at helping students to work effectively, both as individuals or as members of teams, in the specification and evaluation of IT products in regard to user needs. IT products are pervasive in many areas of life and their effective use is dependent upon principled design of the user-interface between the human and the underlying technology.
