Program Overview

Program Description:
Ever had an idea, but didn’t know what to do next? The Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Diplomacy (LEaD) summer program is a two-week residential program at the Geneva School of Diplomacy in Geneva, Switzerland that starts leaders on a path to becoming opportunistic problem-solvers who bring a discipline of value-creating innovation and effective execution to whatever they do. Our program and network of mentors show participants how to create success and social value in whatever they do. This is an initial Master's programme and can be followed on a full-time or part-time basis.

Based on a successful entrepreneurship program developed over ten years at the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College, USA, the LEaD at GSD program combines classroom learning and experiential projects. We draw on readings, discussions, lectures by entrepreneurs and researchers with distinctive entrepreneurial and finance experience to cover the important aspects of company formation, leadership, and value creation. LEaD's 2-week intensive curriculum prepares leaders to create social and economic value through an experiential learning curriculum of: - human-centered design innovation - entrepreneurial execution - social value and globalization - policy and diplomacy - character development

The program exposes students to the skills that form the core of an entrepreneurial mindset—critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, and communication. These also happen to be the skills most sought by companies when hiring. LEaD will be useful for anyone with or without previous entrepreneurial experience: - Students and others who would like to learn more about entrepreneurship or develop their entrepreneurial ideas. - Business people and other professionals who want to develop entrepreneurial aptitudes or actually implement innovations for spin-out from their companies. - Civic leaders and others who want to understand more about leadership and entrepreneurship - Entrepreneurs and employees of early-stage companies who want to deepen their experience and knowledge base.
