Program Overview

Program Description:
FGCU upholds a strong emphasis on environmental issues, and places a unique importance on environmental sustainability. Our Master's program offers an integrated study of ecosystems (uplands, wetlands, estuaries and coastal systems), environmental education and public outreach. The core of the program focuses on: understanding the science of ecology, utilization of scientific methods and application of the concept of sustainability.

Requirements:
Cover letter including academic and career goals, statement of research interests, four year undergraduate degree, official undergraduate transcripts, GRE exam, minimum grade point average of 3.0 for the last 60 semester hours of upper division undergraduate coursework and three letters of recommendation.
International Requirements:
Cover letter including academic and career goals, statement of reserach goals, four year undergraduate degree, official undergraduate transcripts, GRE exam, minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper based) or 213 (computer based) for international students, minimum grade point average of 3.0 for the last 60 semester hours of upper division undergraduate coursework and three letters of recommendation.
