EMU's close ties with business and industry leaders led to the development of a program that is as current as it is professional. The Master of Science in Engineering Management degree was developed based on research about what is most important to know about Engineering Management for today’s work environment, including the bodies of knowledge used for professional certification in engineering management, project management, manufacturing engineering, lean systems and quality management. Our program particularly fits the needs of busy professionals who are working in business, industry and the military—who may be located anywhere in the world—by being available completely online, as well as on the EMU campus. The engineering management program focuses on management of: Research and development Engineering projects and programs Design and manufacturing systems People, resources and organizations Quality Lean enterprise systems Our engineering management program also functions as a primary area of specialization for students enrolled in the Ph.D. in Technology program at EMU. Formatted for Your Schedule The program is tailored to the needs of busy professionals by offering the "anywhere, anytime" convenience of an online education. Face-to-face classes are also offered on EMU’s main campus. EMU-Online Out-of-state and international students can take EMU-Online courses at in-state tuition rates. You will participate in group discussions and assignments with fellow students from the U.S.A. and across the world--and learn from them as well. Many of our students are currently working as engineers or engineering managers in some of the world’s largest and most successful companies.
