Program Description:
The Master of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing educates professional nurses for advanced practice. The curriculum consists of core courses, support courses and clinical courses. Additional certifications are also available. The core courses provide a foundation in nursing theory, research design, health policies, professional issues and concepts of advanced practice nursing. Some courses are available through distance learning. Five tracks offered- Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nursing Management, Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. An accelerated format which allows you to complete your degree in one to two years, depending on the track you choose and the courses that transfer in.
