- A 36 unit program that can be completed in two years full-time, or three years part-time, the MA degree provides a foundation for those wishing to move on to doctoral studies (PhD, EdD, JD) and provides the necessary academic credentials for junior or community college teaching. The MA curriculum includes courses in English, American, and world and comparative literatures, rhetoric and composition, literary criticism, and film study.
