After all the anticipation over a year, I can't believe I'm finally in Rome! We spent two days in London and arrived in Rome a few days ago. The past couple days have been a whirlwind. After finally getting settled I finally got to start exploring the beautiful city of Rome. Just in one day we saw the Vatican, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi fountain! All the architecture here is unbelievable. What strikes me the most comparing Rome to Pennsylvania were the narrow side streets throughout Rome. Every street I have turned down (while getting lost) were filled with restaurants, cafes, mopeds, the Italian citizens and of course the tourists like me. Walking through is like a scene of a movie, it is so picturesque! I've only been here four days and it is the most beautiful city. I cannot wait to see more artifacts.
