Program Description:
As evidence-based practice becomes increasingly important in physiotherapy, this course will provide an in-depth understanding of the relationship between clinical assessment and the evaluation of therapeutic intervention from the theoretical perspective. This course attracts physiotherapists from all over the world. The challenging programme encourages you to re-examine your professional convictions and to be skeptical of current physiotherapy practice. The learning experience encourages participants to become leaders in their field. You will develop innovative and evaluative skills, providing you with the knowledge and drive to implement positive change in the workplace. The course does not have ANY practical elements in it and does not lead to a license to practice in the UK or to Health Professions Council (HPC) registration. Structure You will be required to attend for one calendar year from September and will attend on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Study will comprise of seven compulsory core modules and one optional module. For the award of MSc, you will be required to complete a dissertation. Only one clinical route is offered per year in the areas of: Neurology; Musculoskeletal or Cardio-respiratory. The schedule for the modules offered over the next two years is presented below.
