- Mechanical Sciences has been one of the core branches, which was started right at the inception of the Karunya University in 1986. The School of Mechanical Sciences has grown from strength to strength and as on date, it has matured into a pillar of strength for the Karunya University.In order to meet the manpower of the rapidly growing Industrial base and infrastructure of our country, the Karunya University is at present offering UG courses in Mechanical, Aerospace & PG courses in the thrust areas of Thermal Science, CAD/CAM , Engineering Design , Aeronautical, Automobile, etc. The courses have been designed in such a way that students get the necessary depth in the chosen area of specialization while absorbing the necessary back up knowledge so as to maintain the required breadth in the general Technological Scenario. Special efforts have been made to enable the students to translate the theoretical knowledge with laboratory & field level experience. The School also takes in students for research leading to Ph.D. degrees.
