OVERVIEW The Department of Biotechnology, started in the year 2005, grew into School of Biotechnology in the year 2007 and evolved into the School of Biotechnology and Health Sciences in the year 2009. The objective of the Department is to provide excellent teaching, practical facilities, research facilities and consultancy services in the frontier areas of Biotechnology. The mission of the Department of Biotechnology is to form holistic, value based, world class bio-technocrats and entrepreneurs by exploring and nurturing their potential with divine power, so as to discover novel bio products and to extend services to the rural community, public and the environment for the glory of God. The vision of the Department is on health care of humanity. We at the Department of Biotechnology impart technical education of global standards to the students, making them technologically superior and ethically of high caliber to serve the common man. QUALITY STATEMENT We at the Department of Biotechnology aspire to establish a system of Quality Assurance, which would on a continuous basis evaluate and monitor the quality of education and training imparted at this University, improve the teaching learning process and ultimately develop the Department into a Centre of Excellence.
