Program Overview

Program Description:
The Cultural History Programs are first and foremost academic travel programs. Because we follow an extensive travel itinerary, instructional delivery is very different from the pattern of fixed class time and standard contact hours of campus courses, and experiential learning is integrated into coursework.

The Cultural History Programs are five and "Around the World in 80 Days" summer Programs visiting Western Europe, the Mediterranean, India, China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. All summer program options offer courses and credit in art and history.

The Cultural History Programs are interdisciplinary programs. The unique and ongoing dialogue between students and faculty is born in response to program experiences and activities. Our programs are designed to involve students in varied cultural experiences in key cultural centers.
Setting Description:
The Cultural History Programs offer an intense backpacking experience through multiple cities. Travel is via air, rail, ship, bus and metro. All intra-city travel is included in the program cost.
