- The Public and Media Relations Diploma in the Centre for Journalism Studies is a 9-month course. If you are interested in pursuing a career in Public Relations then we are the first port of call. The course is accredited by the IPR and exceeds the standards of the IPR diploma. Taught by leading PR Practitioner, Michael Smith HonFIPR, this course is geared to getting students jobs as public relations practitioners. The course is highly practical with a strong emphasis on 'hands on involvement' in project work and presentation skills. Emphasis is placed on practical experience with many workshops and organised work placement opportunities.
