Program Overview

Program Description:

Explore the cultures of Nepal, India, and Thailand for 3 months!

Lend a hand and give back. Service projects for 2020 include: renovating a school in a Nepalese village and teaching English to children in a village in India.

Explore Asian religions and philosophies by visiting temples, taking part in festivals and rituals, and learning Tibetan Buddhist mediation techniques on a 10-day retreat.

Learn first-hand about daily life in cities and villages through home stays in a variety of socio-econmic settings.

Make lifelong memories and friends while traveling with a small group of like-minded peers.

Challenge yourself with a 9-day trek in the HImalayan Mountains in Nepal.

Optional college credit courses in Tibetan Buddhism and Outdoor Education are available through a partnership with Western State Colorado University.  529 College Savings Plan funds are accepted.

Setting Description:
A few highlights of the Asia program include: Living with local families, helping to build a community center in a remote Indian village, teaching English to Tibetan children, meditating with Buddhist monks, trekking in the Himalayas, a desert camel safari, and visiting the Taj Mahal.
Cost:
10,950 USD. This program fee covers all program expenses during the semester, including: all meals and lodging, all overland travel, and all scheduled program activities. Cost of flights is additional to program fee.
