Program Overview

Program Description:

The MA in Organizational Psychology at William James College is a fast-paced 1 year, 30-credit program designed for working professionals.  The program can be done 100% online or online with monthly weekends-in-residence.  Multidisciplinary faculty members are practitioners who teach from both their academic expertise and their work experience.

The MA program requires each student to complete an organizational development project that includes approximately 80 hours of supervised field work.  Some examples of field projects include organizational assessment and feedback, change management, team development, facilitation and training, research and benchmarking, facilitation of focus groups, and strategic human resources projects.

Graduates are trained to care for the human side of business both within organizations and as independent consultants. Many serve as human resources specialists, helping organizations with employee development, and employee morale and retention. Others work as systems consultants, facilitating organizational change through team-building, strategic planning, and quality management.
