Program Overview

Program Description:
The Clinical Psychology Training Program is accredited by the American Psychological Association and has special facilities for training and research in psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions, community psychology, neuropsychology, child-clinical, geropsychology, and health psychology. The department maintains a Psychology Clinic, which serves as the in-house training clinic for graduate students and is supervised by the clinical faculty. Students also receive training in a wide variety of clinical settings in the Detroit area. All clinical faculty are research active, and students conduct master’s theses, doctoral dissertations, and often additional research in one or more faculty laboratories. Most students accepted into the Ph.D. program in psychology receive full financial aid.
