Students can make the most of their semester abroad in Prague with the International Economics and Finance (IEF) program, a new study abroad opportunity for economics, finance, and business students. IEF is a custom program catered for students who wish to acquire new knowledge and skills from an international perspective. Through the IEF program, students take courses at a renowned economics and finance institute in Prague. Students also have numerous opportunities to discover European businesses firsthand, learn from industry experts, and explore the remarkable city of Prague.
Students in the IEF program take three courses at the Institute of Economic Studies (IES), the top-ranked undergraduate institute in the Czech Republic. IES attracts students from all over the world who seek valuable skills in economics, finance, policy, management, and business strategy. Your courses at the Institute of Economic Studies are taught completely in English. Through "direct enrollment," you take your classes alongside the full-time, degree-seeking students at Charles University. The exceptional education at IES leads many graduates to careers at the world's best consultancies and financial firms.
The mission of the International Economics and Finance (IEF) program is to provide study abroad students with a set of tools and experiences designed to improve skills in economics and finance and to increase competencies in global business. The IEF Program is supported and administered in cooperation with UPCES, a leading undergraduate study abroad program in Prague. IEF students enroll in two UPCES courses and join events and trips organized with UPCES.
