Program Description:

This specialisation focuses on the tourism and hospitality industry, specifically on the planning, promotion and delivery of attractions, events, meetings, transport and lodging. Hands-on operational study and industry work placement is optionally available, in parallel, through a nationally accredited training provider located adjacent to the UNSW Kensington campus. This not only gives graduates all-important practical skills, but also gives them the chance to obtain the Diploma of Tourism and Hospitality Management Studies. The specialisation is designed for students with no prior formal knowledge of the sector who wish to acquire the knowledge and skills to work in the rapidly expanding global tourism industry. The specialisation prepares students for management roles in tourism marketing, conference planning, consulting firms, international hotels, and events and attractions management.
