Program Overview

Program Description:

A new study abroad program based in South East Europe that includes 3 weeks of courses in Prishtina, Kosovo, a week long study trip throughout the Balkans, and the potential to continue with an internship with a company based in Kosovo, an NGO, or a government agency. The program length is 4, 6, or 8 weeks long.

Courses in Ethnic Conflict, Humanitarian Aid and International Interventions, Business in South East Europe, and Social Entrepreneurship in a Developing Country.

The value of this program comes from the opportunity to study these subjects up close in a safe environment. All of these subjects are on going, so students will have an opportunity to see the theories found in textbooks play out in a practical setting.

Setting Description:

You will spend the first 3 weeks in Prishtina, Kosovo. After that you will spend a week traveling to Macedonia- FYR, Greece, Albania, and Montenegro. After the study week, if you choose to participate in the 6 of 8 week program, you will continue working in Prishtina.

Cost:

The program cost varies according to how many credits you are taking; here is the cost breakdown: 4 credits is 1650 Euros, 6 credits is 2350 Euros, and 8 credits is 2850 Euros. These prices include room and board, with meals provided 3 times a day and 5 days a week. It also includes in country travel and the week-long study visit, including hotels.
