A range of other courses taught in English from the Departments of Applied biological Sciences; Arts and Sciences; Education; Engineering; or Economics are also available. Students whose Japanese is at an advanced level can take courses taught in Japaneses in various subjects with other Japanese students. Students with high proficiency can also take Globalization Internships in order to develop Japanese language and theoretical understanding of Japanese society in professional work settings. You may go for the fall semester or an entire year; however, students may not go for the spring semester only. Japan is a fascinating country rich in culture, history, and a diverse environment, the combination of which produces one of the most distinctive societies in the world.
The HUSA Program has partnerships with universities all over the world, of which USAC is one. - Setting Description:
- Hiroshima faces the tranquil Seto Inland Sea in an environment richly endowed with natural beauty. The northern part of the city is mountainous, offering recreation opportunities in water sports in the summer and snow sports in the winter. Hiroshima City is an energetic and thriving metropolis with excellent shopping, movie theaters, restaurants, and cultural activities. The city was devastated by the atomic bomb in 1945, but its present prosperity is living proof of the energy and willpower of the Japanese. Except for the Atomic Bomb Dome, there is little left to remind you of the devastation.
