Program Description:
The University of Virginia School of Nursing is ranked #15 in the country for graduate nursing programs in the country (placing it in the top 3% of programs in the US). The PhD in Nursing program was ranked in the Top 10 of doctoral programs in 2010 by the National Research Council. Masters preparation is offered in Acute & Specialty Care (CNS and ACNP), Primary Care (FNP & PNP), Psychiatric-Mental Health nursing (PMHNP), as well as leadership programs in Public Health Nursing, Health Systems Management, and Clinical Nurse Leader. We offer an intensive 24-month Master's Entry program for non-nurses where all of your clinical experiences would be precepted 1:1. This is more focused, 1:1 clinical training than any other program in the country at that level.
