- The History of Art program offers both the MA and PhD degree. Both programs emphasize the research, writing and teaching necessary to pursue a career in academia or museum work. The faculty supervise students in the fields of Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque, and Modern and Contemporary art and architecture. The program benefits from affiliations at the University including the Center for Medieval Studies and the Center for Renaissance and Reformation Studies, as well as resources in Toronto including the Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario.
