- The Collaborative Program in Developmental Biology at the University of Toronto brings together researchers in eight university departments: Biochemistry, Immunology, Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, Medical Biophysics, Molecular and Medical Genetics, Physiology, and Cell and Systems Biology. It is open to Ph.D. students in the host departments who investigate aspects of development under the supervision of a member of the program. The program comprises currently 40 faculty members and 35 Ph.D. students that form a highly interactive research community. Community activities that are sponsored by the program include a monthly meeting and an annual retreat at which the latest research by program members and students is discussed, and a lecture series that hosts prominent developmental biologist from around the world.
