The University of the Pacific Master of Behavioral Psychology (MA) is a graduate-level program that consists of 26 units of course work and four units of thesis taught over four full-time semesters and one summer residence. The program offers two tracks: one to prepare students to sit for the BACB exam to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and another to prepare students for top doctoral programs in clinical or counseling psychology. Pacific’s Psychology program provides graduate students with extensive experience in behavioral assessment techniques, research design and evaluation and theoretical coursework. All students complete an empirical thesis and at least a one-year research apprenticeship. Students acquire skills necessary for immediate success in top doctoral programs or professional positions in business, health care and public service sectors.
