Program Overview

Program Description:
This summer, the University of the Americas is offering the 2015 Spanish Language Program. This intensive one month course (80 hours), based on international academic standards, is an opportunity for students to improve their Spanish skills and discover Ecuador’s heritage, history and culture.

The course combines regular classes with cultural workshops, academic field trips and tourist activities. On Fridays we will feature educational outings to various parts of Quito, so students can practice their Spanish in real-life situations at some of the most attractive and traditional places in the city. After completing the course, students will receive a certificate.

This course is for all students who want to learn or improve their Spanish skills. We have groups for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced students. “Quiteños” speak clearly and have a very neutral accent, which makes studying Spanish in Quito easier than in other parts of Latin America. It is also a great opportunity to explore Ecuador and its spectacular landscapes, which include snow-capped volcanos, lush jungles and sunny beaches.
