- The Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies (MAPS) is a 36-hour professional degree program that prepares individuals for pastoral ministry in the Church. The program is oriented toward persons who are or who desire to be involved in full-time professional pastoral ministry. All MAPS courses are conveniently offered in a variety of convenient times and venues. Candidates for diaconal ordination and lay ministry in the Catholic Church will undertake a program conforming to the most recent guidelines established by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
