- Earn credit by visiting two of the most magnificent cities in the world. You will come to understand the impact of the church on the politics of England with guided tours of Westminster Abbey and St. Paul's Cathedral. Gain an insider's perspective to keeping order in this massive and multicultural city with a lecture at the London School of Economics before hopping a train to the Royal Family's weekend home, Windsor Castle. After four days, you travel into the heart of Paris via the high-speed Euro-Star train. Learn about French politics and culture at a lecture given at the American University of Paris and explore the city heralded as one of the cultural and diplomatic capitals of the world with visits to such historic landmarks as the Eiffel Tour, the Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame. Be prepared to budget your time as you view thousands of great works in the countless museums in the City of Light. Throughout the program, Dr. Merrick will be lecturing and highlighting the various elements of each city's politics.
