- The Master of Arts in Social Work is an initial two year training course for students who already have bachelors degrees in other subjects. We offer three pathways: work with children and families, adult and commmunity care, working in the voluntary sector.The Master of Social Work is a postqualifying degree for experienced social workers who wish to update their skills. Approved as an "Advanced Award", issued by the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work. Students will follow a pathway based on either practice, research, training or management.
