Live and study in the heart of Rome, a thrilling city renowned for its fashion, architecture, cuisine, and rich history. Admire well-known ancient landmarks, savor a scoop of creamy fior di latte at a nearby gelateria, intern at a local company, and take study tours to gain an understanding of the city’s past and present.
Choose from a variety of courses and observe the Italian workforce as an intern, and explore contemporary issues facing Italy and Europe through a variety of study tours. All courses will also integrate guest lectures and visits around Rome to highlight course content. Students with foundational skills in the visual arts and/or design will have the opportunity to enroll in the Italian Design Studio: Blending Tradition & Innovation course.

Rome is the capital of Italy and has a thrilling history that spans 3,000 years. Renowned worldwide for art, architecture, fashion, and cuisine, it is a vibrant city with ancient and modern wonders waiting around every corner. This program integrates study tours around Rome and other areas of Italy to highlight course content.

- Scholarships Description:
- The Learning Abroad Center’s Study Abroad Scholarship provides awards for non-University of Minnesota undergraduate students going on eligible Learning Abroad Center credit-bearing programs.
