- Milan is Italy’s most productive and innovative city and stands tall on the shoulders of history dating back to pre-Roman times. The city has a wealth of art and architectural masterpieces woven into a vibrant setting of magnificent beauty, culture, and glamour.
Faculty will teach students in a mixture of classroom and onsite lectures. Students will live in furnished apartments interacting with the local population and fully engaging in Italy’s most cosmopolitan, eclectic city. Milan is the headquarters for top Italian corporations and the economic capital of Italy. It holds a wealth of art and architectural masterpieces woven into a vibrant setting of beauty, culture, and glamour. The course focuses on the most significant areas of management operations, production, and problem solving utilizing appropriate models and techniques. The course will examine the similarities and dissimilarities between American and European business practices. Two site visits to major Italian industries will provide hands-on exposure. Potential field excursions include visits to well known corporations like Alfa Romero in the automobile industry, and Ferrero, the European chocolate & dessert giant. You will be able to see how the basic principles of operations management are integrated in advanced production plants by utilizing high level technologies.

- Students will share double rooms in fully furnished apartments, including kitchen facilities.
- Students are responsible for paying 3 credits of undergraduate tuition.
