Program Description:
4 July 2016 - 28 July 2016/ 8 August 2016 - 1 September 2016 | 5 Credits During the months of July and August, two consecutive sessions of intensive Arabic language is offered as four-week modular courses of Modern Standard Arabic (the written language). Elementary and intermediate levels are offered over the summer and students are required to complete a placement exam in advance. Our Elementary I is for students who have absolutely no prior knowledge of the Arabic language, and Elementary II is for students that have already studied the Arabic alphabet. Intermediate I is for students interested in building their grammar skills. In the fall and spring semesters, we offer both Modern Standard/Literary Arabic and Spoken Arabic at all levels.

Our Arabic summer program is designed for those who want to immerse themselves in an intensive language acquisition experience that is personally enriching as well as academically demanding. The classes meet six hours a day, four days a week. In addition to the rigorous classes, we have an afternoon homework club, which is for students who want to receive help from native-speaking students or practice speaking Arabic.

All of our programs are fully accredited. Our challenging Arabic language instruction attracts students from all around the world, creating a dynamic learning environment.
Setting Description:
The University is located in the multicultural city of Haifa on the coast of Northern Israel. The stunning campus is set on Mount Carmel on the edge of the Carmel National Forest. The University is fifteen minutes from the Mediterranean Shore, one hour from Nazareth and Tel Aviv. It is also two hours from Jerusalem. The University reflects the cultural mosaic of Haifa. Thus, it provides the ultimate setting for Arabic language studies.
