Program Overview

Program Description:

The objective is to provide graduates with the knowledge that will make it possible to understand the economic and social systems of Latin America and Europe. It will provide students with the skills and knowledge to work in the professional and managerial functions that coordinate and operate in the areas of economic co-operation between the EU, Czech Republic and Latin American countries, as well as the private and financial sectors.

The International Master’s Degree Program in Economic and Regional Studies of Latin America is comprised of 120 ECTS credits.The courses are organized into four semesters.

The program has the possibility to get a double degree. Selected students will have the opportunity to finish their second year of study in one of several prestigious Latin American universities (After selection process). They can choose to study in English or Spanish, depending on the program and partner university chosen

Setting Description:

Graduates of the program “Economic and Regional Studies of Latin America” will obtain the knowledge to enable them to analyze economic and social processes and regional development with regards to the cultural specific aspects of Latin American countries. The graduate will also be able to create strategies for public administration. The graduate will also obtain information concerning the Czech Republic’s experience in the field of economic transformation and restructurin, solving regional disparities and programs focused on human resource development, which could be applied in Latin America. The subjects taught will provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience necessary in a broad area of economic and regional studies of Latin America and also for related research and business. Presentations of Latin American economics, geography, social, cultural and environmental aspects will be a part of the study program. The studies will also be focused on processes

Cost:

The tuition fee is 1 800 EUR per semester
